Inspections and Water Testing

We provide water testing and well inspections for real estate transactions, homeowners, commercial properties, and agricultural operations.

The most common water test is a bacterial sample, but we can also provide testing for nitrates, nitrites, arsenic, lead, copper, pH, hardness, calcium, iron, manganese, and many other contaminants. All samples are delivered to an accredited ELAP-certified laboratory for accurate and reliable results.

For real estate transactions, lenders often require both a well inspection and a bacterial water sample. Some lenders also request a pump production test. In low-yield areas, we perform three-hour or four-hour well production tests. Every well inspection includes the necessary servicing and maintenance. If we find any issues, we provide a written estimate for the recommended repairs.

If a well tests positive for Coliform Bacteria or E. coli, we have several proven methods to disinfect the system. We use a specialized chlorine product designed specifically for well water. If the well continues to show bacterial presence after one or more chlorinations, we apply more aggressive procedures and, in some cases, perform a well camera inspection to locate the source of contamination. In situations where the aquifer itself is contaminated, an Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system can be installed as a long-term solution.
