We specialize in well re-casing/liner for both residential and commercial wells. Many wells located in the Great Valley were constructed with steel casing and no annular seal. As the casing ages, it can rust, deteriorate, and develop holes—often leading to contamination of the well. We recommend having your water tested for Coliform Bacteria and E. coli at least once per year. If your well water changes color after heavy rainfall, this is often a sign that the steel casing has developed holes.

We begin the re-casing process by sending a camera down the well to document the condition of the casing and determine several important factors such as casing depth, total well depth, and geological formations. All video recordings are saved to a hard drive for future records.

We use PVC F480 well casing, which is installed inside the existing steel casing. A packer is set at the bottom of the new casing, allowing us to place the PVC below the damaged steel. Cement is then pumped above the packer to anchor the new casing in place. The remaining annular seal is completed with either cement or bentonite, depending on county code and site conditions.

Over time, wells can accumulate sediment, sand, iron scale, biofilm, and bacteria, all of which reduce water production and overall system performance—especially if the casing has perforations. Sand and sediment can also harbor bacteria, allowing contamination to persist.

We use several proven methods to clean and rehabilitate water wells. One of the most effective is the air-lift development method, which uses high volumes of compressed air to remove sand, sediment, and casing debris. This process helps restore water flow and improve well performance. When needed, we also use a large-diameter casing brush to scrub the interior of the steel casing and open up clogged perforations.
